What applies to any language on the list.
How do I choose the runtime version?
With the VERSION key in vertracloud.config, an optional INI file at the root of the project. Without it, the application starts on that runtime's recommended version.
Do I need to write a Dockerfile?
No. The platform builds the image from your project and your vertracloud.config. The container is created, isolated and monitored without you maintaining infrastructure.
Can I run more than one language in the same account?
Yes. Each application is independent and picks its own runtime; what is shared is your plan's memory, split across the projects.
What is the difference between an application and a site?
A background process exposes no HTTP port — that covers bots and workers. A published application gets a subdomain on vertraweb.app with TLS. The same application can be published and unpublished later; publishing requires 512 MB of RAM.
What if the language I use is not on the list?
Today the platform runs the ten runtimes on this page. If your project compiles to a Linux binary, the Go or Rust runtime usually solves it; otherwise, talk to support before subscribing.
