Applications in production

From your code to a live app.

Upload a ZIP or connect GitHub. Vertra installs dependencies, creates the container, and gives your website, API, or bot an isolated runtime.

The flow

A short path to your first deploy.

You provide the code; the platform handles the path from an archive to a running process.

  1. 01

    Send

Upload a ZIP or choose a GitHub repository, including private repositories.

  2. 02

    Build

Dependencies are installed and the project is prepared to start.

  3. 03

    Run

The container starts in isolation, with logs, metrics, and dashboard controls.

Included with every app

Operate the app in one place.

From the first build to daily maintenance, monitor and control your application from the dashboard.

Container isolation

Dedicated memory, limited CPU, separate storage, and a segregated network for every application.

Live logs

Watch process and deploy output while the application installs, starts, or restarts.

Resource metrics

Track app CPU, RAM, disk, and traffic with history where your plan supports it.

Snapshots

Create manual snapshots, restore an earlier copy, or download its contents as a ZIP.

Configurable environment

Set environment variables, memory, and the start command without changing your source.

Publishing and domains

Publish on a vertraweb.app subdomain or connect your own domain where your plan allows it.

Available languages

Run your project on the runtime you already use.

Choose a supported language and see its versions, configuration, and starter examples.

Ways to deploy

Start where your code already lives.

Choose the simplest path for your project and change workflows as it grows.

ZIP file

Upload code from the dashboard or API to create an application or replace its contents.

GitHub repository

Select a repository, including private ones, and deploy new versions from it.

Automatic push

With a webhook on a compatible plan, every push starts a new deploy.

VS Code extension

Send the project directly from your editor and keep deployment close to the code.

Lifecycle

When something fails, the app has a clear way back.

The dashboard shows every process state. On compatible plans, a crash triggers an automatic restart; a crash loop is stopped so the root error is not hidden.

  • Bot and Website are the application types; you can publish an app later too.
  • Websites receive automatic SSL and can use a subdomain or custom domain.
  • Five crashes in ten minutes form a crash loop and pause auto-restart for safety.
Questions

Frequently asked questions

What to know before putting your first application online.

What kinds of applications can I host?

A Bot is a background process such as a Discord bot, automation, or worker. A Website is an HTTP/HTTPS process such as an API, web application, or SPA.

Do I need to prepare a Docker image?

No. Upload a ZIP or connect GitHub; Vertra installs dependencies, starts the configured process, and puts your code in a container. The optional vertracloud.config file can define the name, entry point, start command, build command, version, port, and memory.

Which languages are supported?

JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Bun, PHP, Ruby, and static sites. See recommended versions and a configuration example on the runtimes page.

Can my application use a custom domain?

Yes, when your plan includes custom domains. The platform validates DNS and provisions SSL automatically. Publishing with a vertraweb.app subdomain and choosing its name depend on the plan.

What happens when the process crashes?

The app enters Error and its logs help you find the cause. The platform tries to start it again on its own, on every plan; five crashes in ten minutes form a crash loop and disable further attempts for 24 hours.

Can I recover an application's contents?

You can create manual snapshots, restore an earlier snapshot, and download its contents as a ZIP. Manual snapshots are available from the Scale plan onward.
