A visual workflow editor, webhooks and JavaScript and Python code, with managed Postgres and the option to scale with workers. Vertra launches, protects and updates it.
You sign in and come straight back to the wizard.
n8n connects services to each other through workflows: a webhook receives an event, a node transforms the data and another sends the result. In this template it runs with the database of your choice, a Code node in JavaScript and in Python, and community nodes.
From the first workflow to queued processing.
Webhooks and integrations between the services you already use, without writing a backend.
The Code node runs JavaScript and Python, with a safe list of modules and the option to allow them all.
Start simple and move to queue mode: the editor hands each execution to a worker, through Redis, and heavy work stays isolated.
What the wizard sets up for you.
Managed Postgres (the default), internal SQLite to start light, or queue mode with a worker, Postgres and Redis.
The Code node runs both languages inside the same app, with safe modules by default.
Install from the editor. Packages survive restarts and updates and, in queue mode, reach the workers too.
User invitations and password resets through your mail server.
History is cleaned after 7 days or 5,000 executions, so the database and the disk do not fill up.
The credentials of your workflows are encrypted with a key generated at creation.
What applies to every catalog template.
When a new version comes out, you choose when to update. Vertra takes a snapshot first and, if something goes wrong, you go back to the previous version with your data.
Snapshots of the app disk, like any Vertra app, according to your plan.
The subdomain is published from the start with a valid certificate. Custom domain, on plans that include it.
Passwords, tokens and encryption keys are generated at creation and shown once, at the end of the wizard. No loose plain-text secret in the template.
The numbers come from the Vertra catalog and follow the current plans.
The exact requirements show in the wizard, before you create anything.
In the wizard, choose the mode (managed Postgres, SQLite or queue with a worker), the time zone and, if you like, the mail server.
Vertra creates n8n and the services of the chosen mode, already connected. The first boot migrates the database and takes under a minute.
Open the app address and create the n8n owner account.
In a Code node, pick JavaScript or Python (Native). For community nodes, use Settings.
For most people, managed Postgres. SQLite is for tests or light workflows. Queue mode is for heavy executions or many in parallel.
Yes, Python 3.13, in the same app. By default only data and text modules; you can allow them all in the app variables.
It is the key that encrypts the credentials of your workflows. Vertra generates it at creation. Keep a copy: without it, the credentials of a backup are unreadable.
Read n8n's Sustainable Use License first: it allows internal business use and personal or non-commercial use.
Yes. Workflows live in the template's database. The update takes a snapshot first and rolling back brings the data along.
